Online Launch & Call for Submissions!

Call for Submissions banner

INK is now accepting your submissions in poetry, art, illustration, fiction, photography and creative non-fiction under the theme of New Beginnings!

This week INK is going digital, and we’ve just launched our Facebook, Instagram and Twitter accounts with their brand new look. We’ve also added the finishing touches to our digital journal, which, as you can see, is complete with our submissions posters that you will also soon be able to see all around the University Campus as submissions are now open!

I am very impressed with the work done by the INK team so far. The artwork developed by our design editors has been fantastic and some excellent words have been penned by the team, featuring on the website and submission posters alike. We have a great mix of designers and creative writers on our 2016 team which I think is a good omen for INK, an arts journal at its heart. Similarly, the social media editors have been hard at work getting the accounts ready and generating their first bout of followers.

The real push now is gathering submissions before our launch on 11th May in the Bread and Roses pub in Plymouth. There is still lots to think about, and our schedule needs to accommodate for the Easter break and we also need to get the proof to the printers in good time to make sure everyone can get a copy on launch day. It’s safe to say that the journey’s only just begun!

~ Aimee, Editor-in-Chief of INK 2016
